Application to St. Margaret’s for services is by referral from external agencies – HSE/TUSLA/Other agencies
Referral for services may be made by individuals who are not currently in receipt of services, have a service that does not suit their support needs or wishing to move to the greater Dublin area/Wicklow/Kildare/Wexford areas. All referrals must be made through the individual’s local HSE Disability Manager in their Community Healthcare Area.
St. Margaret’s Admissions Committee reviews all referrals and, where approved, an assessment meeting will be arranged with the applicant/representative.
Where St Margaret’s service offering matches the individual’s support needs, a funding application is submitted to the referring agency. Upon funding approval, St Margaret’s will commence commissioning the service with the individual (e.g. sourcing housing, staff recruitment, discovery referral, etc.) A pathway for commencement of services will be discussed and agreed with the individual/representative.
Where St. Margaret’s cannot meet the applicant’s needs, this will be communicated to them/their representative and the referring agency.
